Annual General Body Meeting of the Diglipur Branch




The Annual General Body meeting of the Diglipur Branch of the Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association was held on 21st  February, 2016(Sunday) at Rabitirtha Hall, Diglipur Bazar, Diglipur. Shri H.L. Prasad, President of  NGOs’ Association Inaugurated the Annual General Body meeting. In his inaugural address Shri H.L. Prasad, recalled many historical struggles conducted by the  Govt. employees of  A & N Administration under the banner of NGOs’ Association. He further exhorted employees to keep unity in the present situation, for the achievement of various  demands. Shri S. Arumugam, Secretary of the Diglipur Branch presented the  working report of the working of the Diglipur Branch and Shri Dasrath Mistry, Treasurer  placed  financial report in the meeting. Shri Gopal Chandra Dey, Vice President of the Branch presided the meeting. Later in the evening a public meeting was also  organised at the Diglipur Bazar. Addressing the Annual General Body and  public meeting Shri T.S.Sreekumar, General Secretary of the Association explained in detail about  various negative recommendation of 7th Central Pay Commission and ongoing  struggle of 48 lakhs central Govt.  employees under the National Joint Council of  Action(NJCA), New Delhi. He also expressed serioud concern over large scale quarry activities in North Andaman which may lead to environmental destruction. Shri G.P. Mondal and Shri D. N. Banerjee also  addressed the General Body and public meeting among others.

Annual General Body Meeting of the Billiground Branch





The Annual General Body meeting of the Billiground Branch of the Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association was held on 20th February, 2016 at Billiground. Government employees working at Billiground area attended the meeting. Shri S. Gain, Secretary of the Billiground Branch presented the report of the working of the Billiground Branch. Addressing the meeting, Shri TS Sreekumar, General Secretary of the Association said that the central government employees all over the country are going for a total strike during the month of April, 2016 demanding improvement in the recommendations of the 7th Central Pay Commission so that government employees will get some benefits of the pay revision which is happening after 10 years. He assured the government employees posted at Billiground that their local issues will be taken up with the A & N Administration by the Association. Shri DN Banerjee, Organising Secretary and Shri Santhosh Kumar Roy, another senior leader of the Association addressed the general body meeting. The General Body meeting elected Shri Satyaban Gain as Vice President and Shri Subhankar Bawali as Secretary of the Billiground Branch Committee.

The meeting of Empowered Committee of Secretaries (E-CoS) under the Chairmanship of Cabinet Secretary with Standing Committee members of JCM (NC) staff side is scheculed to be held on 1st March 2016 at 06:45 PM in the Committee Room, Cabinet Secretariat, Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi vide Under Secretary (IC) letter F. No. 1-2/2016-IC dated 24.02.2016.
It has therefore been decided that the preliminary Staff Side meeting of the Standing Committee members will be held on 1st march 2016 at 11.00 AM in the office of National Council (JCM), 13-C, Ferozshah Road, New Delhi – 110001 for internal discussion.

Dear Comrades,
Sub: Brief of the NJCA meeting held on 19.02.2016 with the Convener, Implementation Cell, Ministry of Finance (Government of India), reg. 7th CPC recommendations and Charter       of Demands of the NJCA
A meeting of the NJCA held today with the Convener, Implementation Cell, Ministry of Finance, Shri R.K. Chaturvedi, wherein we discussed and emphasized on all the 26-point Charter of Demands of the NJCA send to the Cabinet Secretary on 10.12.2015. 
We agitated the issues of NPS, Minimum Wage, Multiplying Factor, deduction of HRA and all other important issues.
The Convener, Implementation Cell, Shri Chaturvedi, after hearing everybody, said that, he would put-up the issues to the Cabinet Secretary, and hopefully a meeting of the JCA would be held with the Cabinet Secretary and the Empowered Committee shortly within 15 days.
Let us not leave any stone unturned for preparations of the strike.

Seminar of Central Pay Commissions & Com.S.K.Vyas

         

  The Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association, Andaman and Nicobar Islands today (13.02.2016)observed the 1st Death Anniversary of legendary leader of the central government employees Shri S.K.Vyas at Crusade House premises. To mark the occasion, a seminar on “Central Pay Commissions and Com. S.K.Vyas” was organised by the Association to remember the veteran leader and his contributions to various Central Pay Commissions.
         Speaking on the occasion as the main speaker, Shri K.G.Das, former General Secretary of the Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association explained in detail the struggles conducted by the Confederation of Central Govt. Employees & Workers, New Delhi under the leadership of S.K.Vyas due to which central government employees got various benefits during the successive Central Pay Commissions.  He said that the recommendations of the 7th Central Pay Commission, if implemented in its present form, will spell doom for the central government employees and called upon the government employees to fight against these retrograde recommendations.
          Speaking on the occasion, Shri D. Ayyappan, General Secretary, Andaman & Nicobar Gazetted Officers’ Association traced out the history of central pay commissions in the country beginning from the 1st Central Pay Commission set up in 1946 upto the 7th Central Pay Commission.  He said that late SK Vyas was associated with all the Central Pay Commissions except the 1st CPC.  He recalled the intervention made by late SK Vyas in the historical struggle conducted by the teachers of A & N Islands under the banner of Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association during 2011 against the arbitrary increase in the working hours. He took up the matter with the A & N Administration and the decision to increase the working hours by 1 ½ hours was shelved. Addressing the Seminar, Shri T.S.Sreekumar, General Secretary described the life history of Shri S.K.Vyas and urged the govt. employees to lead the path shown by late Vyas for a united struggle to achieve the demands of Central Govt. employees & workers. Earlier, Shri H L Prasad, President of the Association welcomed the gathering and recalled the contributions of Shri S.K.Vyas.  Smt Nasreen Begum, Organising Secretary of the Association proposed the vote of thanks

Annual General Body meeting of Wimberlygunj Branch



The Annual General Body Meeting of the Wimberlygunj branch was held at Wimberlygunj today (11.02.2016). Addressing the meeting, Shri R.Rajendran, Organising Secretary of the Association listed out the retrograde recommendations made in the 7th Central Pay Commission and denial of genuine demand of pay upgradation of LGCs and HGCs. Shri T.S.Sreekumar, General Secretary of the Association recalled various movements conducted by govt. employees in Wimberlygunj area and urged upon for a united struggle for achieving the demands placed before the Govt. of India by the National Joint Council of Action and Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association. He also informed about the decision made by the NJCA to go on indefinite strike from April 11, 2016, if no settlement is brought about on the charter of demands placed before Govt. of India. Shri S.L.Vinjit, Joint Secretary, South Andaman Teachers’ Branch while welcoming the gathering shed light on various demands of govt. employees posted in and around Wimberlygunj area.
The meeting elected Shri C.Yousuf, Shri  K.Abdul Kader and Shri P.Unnin as Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer of the branch respectively. Apart from this, 01 Joint Secretary, 02 Organising Secretaries and 08 Executive Members were also elected in the meeting. The meeting discussed various local issues which included maintenance of quarters, pathetic condition of roads etc. A large number of govt. servants including  women participated in the meeting.
